What I Remember

I have these thoughts of us when the sun is shining,
When we would talk about our never ending love.
I remember dreaming with you about growing old,
When we would bicker like an old married couple.

I remember standing out in the cold,
While my broken heart fought with the air,
Because no matter how loud I yelled,
You were no longer there.

I remember losing fights in my mind,
Where my heart would continue to lie,
Because no matter how hard I tired,
The love didn’t survive.

I remember crawling on my face,
While my lungs were filled with tears,
Because no matter how I looked at it,
I was drowning in my worst fears.

So I remember caring for you when you were scared,
I remember encouraging you when you lost hope,
But it hurts to know that all that time,
We shared was just someone Else's joke.

Here I am caught in this dance, Spinning until I finally get my chance. I’ll put one foot forward, I’ll put one foot back, But until we move together, We will continue to lose each other. So here is my hand, I’ll open myself up wide, So you can forever live inside. Here I am searching for you. So here is my heart I pour it out, So here is my soul I’ll let it go. The Way You Are

You only want your money, and all of the greed that follows behind. You would take out all the color, because in the end you just don't care. Everyday is a brand new way you can steal, there is no confront, because all you have is your fear, because you don't care. Now you have your green, but your covered in so much red. You would take what you truly want, and you would kill anything in your way. This is the way you are, rage, and you'll never change.
